A Day In The Life Of A Professional Photographer

Photographer shooting with a DSLR

People picture the shutter click. The job is everything around it. Here is a real Saturday from last wedding season — 6:04am to midnight — so you know exactly what your booking pays for.

Morning: Prep And Quiet Nerves

We arrive while the house is still yawning: details first (rings, paper, shoes by the window), then prep coverage that stays out of everyone's way. Batteries labelled, cards formatted twice, timelines confirmed with the planner over coffee.

Afternoon: Ceremony And Controlled Chaos

Two shooters, two angles, zero drama. One of us holds the wide frame and never moves; the other hunts reactions — a father's hands, a grandmother laughing mid-hymn. Family formals run from a list the couple approved weeks ago, called out loud and finished in twenty minutes.

Evening: Light, Dancing, And Backup

Golden-hour portraits steal fifteen minutes nobody misses. Then speeches, first dance, and a dance floor shot on the move. Cards are swapped, not filled; by midnight one copy is on our studio drive and another is already travelling home in a second bag.

After: The Gallery You Actually See

Selection takes longer than shooting. From thousands of frames we cut to the hundreds that earn their place, retouch by hand, and deliver a sneak peek within 48 hours. The click is the shortest part of the day — and the part we have trained a decade to make look easy.
